LAHORE: A woman has appealed to the Lahore High Court Chief Justice to get her justice in an alimony case.
Kalsoom Bibi of Gulberg in an application to Khwaja Muhammad Sharif stated that Siraj Ahmed had divorced her for ‘giving birth to three daughters’.
“A civil court in 2001 had bound him to pay her alimony but he would not. Now the non-payable amount has reached Rs300,000,” she said and added that instead of paying the amount he was tampering with the court record with the connivance of some court staff.
She said she had been in acute financial problem and urged the CJ to look into the matter.
