Woman beaten to death by husband in Shangla

SHANGLA: A woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband and his parents in Taloon area of Chakesar tehsil here on Sunday.

District police officer Imran Khan said the slain woman’s brother, Sayed Shah, reported to the Chakesar police that Naz Bibi, 34, was allegedly beaten to death by her husband with the help of his parents.

The body was brought to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Chakesar.

The complainant said her sister had got married to Sahib Sayed around five years ago, but he used to beat her, forcing her to flee to her parents’ house.

He said a jirga had patched up the dispute, and as a result, they sent the woman back to her home.

The complainant nominated Sahib Sayed, his father, Zahir Sayed, and his mother for the murder.

The Chakesar police obtained the medical report of the slain woman from the hospital, which confirmed she was clubbed to death.

After registering the case under section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code, the police have arrested the accused.
