SHIKARPUR: The district and sessions judge of Shikarpur on Tuesday allowed a woman to live with her mother.
The 18-year-old Kiran Brohi was married to Aamir Lashari of Nim Khabar Mohalla Shikarpur a year back. She left her husband’s house and reached the Women Complaint Centre on Monday seeking police shelter.
Narrating her ordeal she said that Aamir Lashari was a drug addict and burnt her with cigarette stubs, inflicted knife cuts, trimmed her tresses and beat her on refusal to fulfil his cash demand for purchasing narcotics.
Police presented Kiran before the Court of District and Sessions Shikarpur on Tuesday. The judge after recording statement allowed her to live with her mother.
Kiran was sent to the house of her mother under police security. She said that she wanted divorce for which she will approach court.
WOMEN ARRESTED: Shikarpur police on Monday arrested two absconding females reportedly involved in women trafficking and kidnapping of an unmarried girl from Shikarpur.
According to reports Ambreen was kidnapped by armed men and two women identified as Nazi Bhutto w/o of Mir Mohammad Abro and Bakhtawar from the jurisdiction of Stuart Gunj Police station Shikarpur, one year ago.
Police after lodging the complaint of kidnapped girl’s grandmother arrested one of the nominated accused Mir Mohammad Abro from Railway quarters Shikarpur.
Later, two absconding women Nazi Bhutto and Bakhtawar were arrested from Railway Quarters Shikarpur on Monday night.
There were no reports of the recovery of kidnapped girl till the filing of the report. The arrested women were sent to women jail custody.
