A young, married woman was stabbed to death in the name of so-called honour in Surjani Town on Wednesday, police said.

Area SHO Ghulam Husain Pirzada said 25-year-old Iqra Ali was killed by her husband, Faizan Ali, 30, at Hasan Brohi Goth. The suspect told the police that he killed his wife because he had suspicion over her character, the SHO added.

The police arrested the suspect and recovered the murder weapon.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
