QUETTA: Two people, including a lady doctor were killed and another wounded in separate firing incidents in different towns of Balochistan on Sunday while two bodies were found from Quetta and Pishin.
According to the Shal Kot police station, the pharmacist of Sheikh Zaid Hospital allegedly gunned down his lady doctor wife and escaped from the spot. The police rushed to the spot soon after incident. The body was shifted to the Bolan medical hospital (BMC) where she was identified as Dr Tayaba.
“The cause of killing is a family dispute,” police said. Police started the search to arrest the pharmacist Abu Bakar.
In another incident, a man was shot dead in Double Road of Quetta. Police said that the victim had been identified as Naseeb Raza who was sitting in shop when armed men riding the motorbike opened fire on him.
Resultantly, he was killed on the spot. The victim was stated to be a settler; however, motive behind the killing is yet to be ascertained. Separately, unidentified armed men opened fire at A-one City within the limits of Brewery police station and seriously wounded one person identified as Abdul Karim.
Police recovered a body from Sariab locality and shifted it to hospital for medico-legal formalities. However, the identification of body could not be ascertained. Similarly, Levies personnel recovered a body from New Surkhab Refugee Camp in district Pishin and shifted it to hospital for postmortem where he was identified as Mehmood.
Levies after registering a case started further investigations into the incident.
