Karachi:A beggar woman was strangulated to death by some unidentified men in Model Colony police limits and a man was burnt to death.

Irshad Bibi’s body was found from an open plot in Model Colony police limits. The police said that the deceased was a beggar who had come from the Punjab and was residing in Moinabad area. On Thursday she went out for begging at about 10am but did not return. The deceased left behind a child. A case was registered against the unidentified men by the deceased’s brother Mohammed Ramzan.

A man was burnt to death in Kalakot police jurisdiction. The police said that the deceased’s body was found near Attah Chowk. He was a drug addict. A case was reported at the police station.

A minor was injured by firing of aides of Arshad Papu in Baghdadi police limits. The police conducted a raid at the hide-out of Ghaffar Zikri wanted accomplice of Arshad near Kambela Stop when an encounter took place. GhaffarÂ’s accomplice Zeeshan, a minor, received a bullet wound on his hand. A case was reported at the police station.
