Teacher posts in most Tanawal girls schools vacant

Residents on Friday complained about the teachers’ vacancies in girls’ primary schools of Tanawal area here and insisted that most schools had just one teacher.

They demanded the early filling of those positions to serve the cause of girls’ education in the region.

“Posts of teachers have long been lying vacant in most primary schools for girls in Tanawal, adversely affecting education of students,” former tehsil councillor Mohammad Aslam told reporters in Pulrah area.

Accompanied by a group of residents, Mr Aslam said the PTI government in the province claimed to have reformed the education sector and provided educational institutions with facilities, but the ground reality belied those claims.

“The government primary schools for girls in Mohar Kalan and Chatta Deri areas have just one teacher each, adversely affecting the children’s education,” he said.

The residents demanded the early filling of those vacancies.
