LAHORE: A meeting was held between Maulana Shakeel-ur-Rehman Nasir, Chair of the National Council of Interfaith Peace and Harmony, and Hafiz Samiullah, showcasing their joint commitment to bridging the gap in technical education for women in the seminaries.
Discussions ensued with the representatives from female seminaries such as Umm Barira, Noor Fatima, Rifat Naz, Amina Chishti, and others, highlighting the urgent need for modern technical education to empower these students for a rapidly evolving job market.
Hafiz Samiullah, a noted figure known for his pioneering work in promoting technical education, is spearheading a transformative initiative aimed at imparting technical training to women in the religious seminaries. According to a press release, with a rich legacy of facilitating 25 seminaries for boys in Punjab between 2008 and 2015, Hafiz Samiullah is now shifting the focus towards nurturing the potential of female students in religious institutions.
