Minor girl raped by prayer leader

TOBA TEK SINGH: A prayer leader allegedly raped an eight-year-old orphan girl here on Thursday at Chak 610 GB in Faisalabad’s Tandlianwala area.

According to the first information report registered by Tandlianwala Saddar police under section 376 of Pakistan Penal Code, the complainant [a widow] alleged that her daughter went to the mosque to learn the holy Quran where the suspect took her to his adjacent house, raped her and managed his escape.

The girl was shifted to Tandlianwala THQ hospital where doctors confirmed the rape.

Police are conducting raids to arrest the suspect.
