A case has been registered against 20 people who allegedly broke into a residence, assaulting women.
A video of the attack surfaced, displaying the violence inflicted on the victim and her family. Despite six days passing since the incident, no FIR was registered, nor have any arrests been made.
The victim’s family filed a complaint, yet the Defence-C police allegedly delayed action.
The police have been accused of stalling rather than registering a case against the suspects, identified as Faisal Khan, Hasnain, Rabaab Ghafour, Zain, Haroon, and others who reportedly scaled the walls of the victim’s home, attacking her and her daughters.
As the case gained media attention, SP Cantt Avais Shafique issued a statement confirming immediate action.
He said a police team reached the scene promptly after the assault was reported.
The victim registered a case, naming suspects Faisal, Goga, and others. The SP said that all suspects involved in the attack would be arrested soon.
